your pretty pretty rags and bones

Well can't you hear we're selling rag and bone?
Bring out your junk and we'll give it a home
A broken trumpet or a telephone
Come on, come on, come on, come on and give it to me
I adore The White Stripes. Jack White is a genius and the whole sister-might-be-wife drama that used to surround them just made me love him even more (that sounds weirder than it is, I think). I want to adopt him and make him teach me his musical genius. Rag and Bone is the anthem to the blog. Go listen to it.

I just hacked off half a frumpy skirt I bought with Maddy and wore it without hemming it because I'm a lazy bastard. I'll get to it...maybe.... The hacked off bit is enough to make another skirt so I suppose I'll make one for someone else.

The elastic band of the skirt doesn't make it FWOOSHY enough (I know, you said that out loud, it's that kind of word) so I added my favorite yellow belt onto it and then my studded one just because.

I spelled structured oddly because I can.

I had free time after this meeting I had to go to the other day and I headed to G-ma's, which is also one of my favorite places. You won't see it because it's not pretty at all, just your typical hellhole with a super awesome crazy old lady and violent ninja movies on constantly on this huge tv that takes up half the damn place. I still love it to bits though, not only because G-ma's awesomely awesome neon makeup but if you turn the store upside down you'll find someone worth while.

Behold, $3 purchases. Not $3 each, $3 in total. Italian leather bags I c u thar.

This is the perfect clutch for me--beautiful color, huge on the inside and soft as butter.

It's more of a beige color in real life than this jewel green, but it's so pretty. Anne Klein.

My favorite of the bunch. It's the softest and most worn in one out of them all and it's just the ideal bag to me. I might use it for the lighter workloads at school, but knowing my high school it'd be better to bring a coffin.

The gorgeous and super awesome Antoinette tagged me for a mosiac.

My creation

I have a quick&dirty kind of job (no, not that kind of job...) for the upcoming week so I'll be coming into some moneys! Yay more shopping! It will cheer me up considerably, seeing as my mom threw away all the polaroids and letters I found because she didn't like the person they came from. UGH.

See you soon.

A poem:

Belle is amazing and super
Her posts never make you go "Aw, pooper"
I miss her like a fat kid misses cake
Oh yes I am that cruel
She is as clever as a snake
And very cool
She loves the white stripes
And can wear white stripes well too
She lives in jersey
which sucks
because I won't be back for a while
and our frolicking will be postponed
til we run into each other at a starbucks

I started to give up rhyming in the end. BUT it expresses my feelings for frolicking and frappucinos and belle-a belle-a belle-a ay ay ay and that's the important thing. But I MUST go to NY. Or you can come to Chicago which is also a swell idea. And apologies for like copying your entire sidebar. It's inspiring, like the CDG writing. MISS YOU.

Hi could you tell me where is G'ma's located?

Belle said...

Sure, it's 118 mallory ave in jersey city. You can take the lightrail to the board of education and it's like two blocks away.

Love the look. So genius. And I love your belt in the first pic. I've been dying to find a belt like that for months.

And the music player is fantastic. I esp. love that you put "Old Yellow Bricks" on there. Fantastic song; one of my Arctic Monkeys' best.
