Brooklyn Babe

Earlier in the summer, W Magazine gave me the mission of wandering Brooklyn with last NYFW's show haunts as my inspiration: anyone who was paying attention might remember the outrage that ensued at being called to the outer borough for the Alexander Wang and Opening Ceremony Shows.....the tweets, the instagrams, the snark! Never mind that many of the editors and showgoers now live in this neighborhood..... hahaha.

I do like Brooklyn so it was fun to shoot this with my friend Julia. I'm usually in Brooklyn to visit my friends but every time I'm around, I'm surrounded by characters. That is to say, I blend right in. For once. It's a quaint feeling, really. Not one I'm used to anymore.

I'm wearing a (bootleg) Seditionaries T-Shirt, La Fille d'O Lingerie, TAO Comme des Garcons skirt (similar here)Margiela Tabi BootsASOS Bag*. Beauty notes: I'm wearing Tom Ford FoundationAnastasia Brow PencilNYX Blush in Taupe, MAC Lady Danger Lipstick, and Elizabeth & James Nirvana Black. It's shoppable below:

Go pick up the September Issue on newsstands now! Cover girl is Rihanna, who I am, of course, a fan of.

This isn't the last of me and W Mag pairing up, but you'll have to check back soon to see what we're up to next. See ya.

I absolutely adore your look! I love how you kept the theme fairly monotone, apart from a few pops of colour such as the heel to your shoe or that gorgeous bag- to freshen up the look :) <3

aw thank you! yeah i love basic palettes with pops of colors -- i would love to only wear red, black, and white forever, but i can't avoid my love of rainbows. :)

right? i kind of love the solitude of a gigantic warehouse. it beats the hellhole of an overcrowded fashion show.

That CDG dress is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I love how you styled it with more monochrome. The heel on your shoe is such a subtle way to add colour. I love it <3
